Galbraith

Trillium is always looking ahead. In the case of Galbraith, we see an innovative "community of the future."

Parks, trails and open space are frequently the signature of great places, particularly in the Pacific Northwest, and they are the foundation of Trillium plans.

It took more than 20 years of patient purchases and trades to assemble the land known today to mountain bikers nationwide as Galbraith.

Thanks to a precedent-setting agreement between Trillium and a local mountain-biking club, the land has become a mountain-biker mecca, its varied terrain crisscrossed with miles of trails accessed by logging roads.

A 3,125-acre mountain that peaks at more than 2,600 feet to the east and south of Bellingham, Galbraith offers a range of forest, woodland, meadow and mountaintop settings.

Galbraith also offers an appropriate and meaningful way for Bellingham to grow, when it becomes necessary to expand the city's capacity. In its size, features and location, Galbraith provides the opportunity to apply innovative planning principles related to transportation, housing and the environment in a new, outdoor-lifestyle based community.
